The CrossFire online allows CrossFire users to chat with each other. In the future, this will be the place to find someone to play an online game with and we will periodically hold online tournments.
Just type in your message and press <return> or push the "Send" button. This will send your message to everyone in your Realm. You can enable time stamps to messages by selecting the "Time Stamp" option on the chat menu.To whisper to someone, type in the message, click on their name in the Ally or Champion list to highlight it, then push the Whisper button. Alternatively, you may type <control-return> to whisper to them. This will send to the selected user even if he/she is not in your realm. Whispers will be underlined to distinguish them from normal messages.
The colors of each Champion's messages may be customized. To customize their name and text colors, double-click their name in either the Ally list or Champion list. Changes to the colors will be saved in your configuration for future chat sessions.
Click on the name of the player you are "targeting" from either the Ally or Champion list. Select the action from the list of actions on the menu bar. You may also do actions by typing a # followed by the action keyword (ie: #bonk). You can select your target either with the Ally or Champion list or by typing the name (ie: #bonk JoeUser).The first line on each of the flyout menus is a row of dashes. You can make the list of actions floatable by selecting this menu item.
All active realms will be listed here. The realm you are in will be in bold type. To change to another realm, simply double-click it's name. To create a new realm, select Realm -> Create from the menu bar.
All Champions that are in your Realm will be listed here. A number in paranthesis next to the name is the number of minutes that player has been idle.
All users connected to CrossFire Chat will be listed here. To see the Champion list, push the button labeled ">>". It will then change to "<<"; which will hide the Champion list when pushed. You can be notified when a Champion arrives or leaves by selecting the "Alert" option on the Chat menu.
